M.A.R.S., the Mind Adventures RPG System, defines two distinct sets of game mechanics to resolve game related actions. Both systems prioritize quick game play over manual effort. The first set of mechanics sacrifices detail, the second set provides a lot of detail through the use of a custom application. I call this application "G.U.T.S. - The Gaming Utility Tool Set".
The first set of game mechanics uses dice and paper much like any other RPG system. The second set of game mechanics provides players with many more options for individualizing their unit's abilities and equipment, using the G.U.T.S. application to track, manage, and utilize the associated additional data. This sub-site focuses on describing the game mechanics used in both systems.
